Strengthening International Awareness and Engagement on North Korean Human Rights
Through the international platform established by the IDH, diverse global perspectives and the lived experiences of North Korean defectors are shared and amplified. As a result, human rights in North Korea are expected to remain firmly positioned as a core human rights issue within the international community. These sustained advocacy efforts can contribute to stronger international responses to human rights conditions inside North Korea, while also informing policy discussions aimed at improving the protection and rights of North Korean defectors worldwide.
Expanding Sustained Engagement of the Next Generation
Through youth-centered programs and international networks facilitated by IDH, young people across different countries are expected to increasingly recognize North Korean human rights as a global concern. This engagement is intended to extend beyond short-term awareness, fostering long-term learning, responsible participation, and continued action on North Korean human rights issues.
